Our Programs

Our projects enhance the personal and creative skills of Black youth ages 16-25 and provide a safe space for them to connect through a series of workshops in Scarborough.

It is our aim to expose Black youth to various creative work being done by Black leaders through experiential learning following a carefully curated curriculum.

Our goal is to create a learning environment in which young Black creatives are empowered to produce exceptional work and develop strong connections with Black professionals across industries.

For Black youth ages 16-25.

We aim to provide Black youth with the resources and guidance necessary for them to become confident creatives and leaders. The workshops will allow youth to explore their creative passions and receive mentorship from those who have similar lived experiences. In addition, the project will assist participants in strengthening their skills by facilitating workshops around creativity and mental wellness.

Two cohorts a year.

The program will consist of two cohorts a year - one curated for young Black high school students/new graduates students and the other for young Black creatives exploring different avenues of art/creative works.

All workshops are run by the community, for the community.

Our intended core activity is a total of 8-10 workshops, delivered bi-weekly. Each workshop will run for two hours. The first hour will be facilitated by a community member with experience in the topic covered. Participants will then be given the last hour to partake in tasks and activities that will help solidify the subject learned.

Some topics we have in mind include but are not limited to are: personal brand building, social media presence, overcoming imposter syndrome, coping mechanisms and maintaining wellness as a productive creative.
